Components Building Upon Security
For conventional uses, INOVA fence systems provide, depending on the height, a level of security that will make it difficult for intruders to overcome your fence. But security also needs to be versatile. Security requirements can vary and therefore raise needs for individual solutions – sometimes very obvious ones and at other times in a subtle form. INOVA security fences protect wind parks, airport areas, critical infrastructure such as waterworks and electric power plants, and military facilities. The security levels as defined below are based on each other. They can help to define the right kind and the best sort of protection according to a site’s requirements.
Security Level I: Close-Meshed Double Wire Fence
The very close-meshed, spot-welded double wire mesh makes even reaching through it almost impossible. Instead of the usual 50 mm spaces between the vertical wires, the security fence is spaced out at only 25 mm. The axis dimensions are identical to standard wire mesh fences, so that retrofitting is possible without changing the position of the fence posts. Just like usual twin wire mesh, our security wire mesh fences have a one-sided overhang of approx. 23 mm, at a height of 1,800 mm and taller. These wire ends can additionally be sharpened upon request, which will make climbing over the fence much more difficult and discouraging, and will, at best, prevent it altogether. In an installation that includes an INOVA sliding gate, INOVA security fences with a 25x200 mm mesh can serve as the mandatory reach-through protection in the run back of the sliding gate.
Security Level II: Extended Fence Posts Holding Barbed Wire
Extended fence posts with the option to hold barbed wire can be clearly seen from the outside of the premises. Our posts and barbed wire come, of course, from a single source. During the planning and construction process, we take into account that up to three rows of barbed wire can be mounted on-site on top of the standard welded mesh. This raises the fence not only visually, but also makes it significantly more difficult to intrude the secured premises. This level and the following security levels are particularly effective, when entrance areas such as sliding, or swing gates are also equipped with extended posts. This security level can be applied on its own or combined with the close-meshed INOVA security fence and / or sharpened fence wire ends.
Security Level III: Extension Arms

The maximum mechanical upgrading of fence systems includes extension arms and, if necessary, appropriate security wire. Extension arms for fence posts come in two versions: the single version is angled, inwards or outwards, at 45° on one side, and the double (V-shaped) version has extension arms that are welded on the fence posts, reaching inwards and outwards at a 45° angle. Hot-dip galvanisation and powder coating (upon request) guarantee maximum corrosion protection, as with all INOVA products. There are many possibilities to maximize the protection by using the extension arms. The extension arms can, for example, be equipped with double wire mesh to discourage intrusion by climbing over the fence. Another alternative is to mount barbed wire on the extension arms. Single extension arms can be particularly effective when the arms face towards the outside, being exposed to potential intruders. For this, it may be necessary to move the fence line or fence axis so that the fence does not project into the public domain. The maximum mechanical safety feature is the V-shaped double extension arm topped with coiled, short or long barbed razor wire that is mounted between the V-arms.
Security Level IV: INOVA PeriNet Intrusion Detection Systems
Mechanical security systems with fencing, extended fence posts or even extension arms holding razor wire will discourage potential intruders and complicate or delay someone climbing over the barrier. Depending on the secured site, early detection of an attempted break-in might be necessary, followed by the immediate initiation of countermeasures. With the INOVA Perinet detection systems, you achieve a security level that goes beyond delaying and preventing intrusion. Attempts of climbing over and breaking in can be localised zone-specific. The anaylser module initiates an alarm before the intruder reaches the property. This reduces the response time to trigger countermeasures extended. Especially in combination with our INOVA triple wire mesh with integrated and tamper-proof cable routing, INOVA Perinet detection systems are the perfect complement for a comprehensive and sophisticated perimeter security concept.

Industrial Security Fence
In most cases, our security fences are used as a fence for open grounds. The base of our INOVA security fences is a double wire mesh fence, consisting of INOVA Industrial fence posts and heavy double wire mesh (8/6/8). Industrial sites have special security requirements, depending on, for example, the location, the industrial branch in which a company operates, or insurance requirements.
Security Fence for Machinery
In some industrial areas, fences are essential for machinery. On one hand, from occupational safety reasons, on the other hand, increasingly, to protect machines against any unauthorised access. Here, too, INOVA security fences offer the right solution. For example, double wire mesh with a close meshing (25/200). Since we offer all components for perimeter protection from a single source, you can even integrate our pedestrian gates into these fence systems. They are also available with additional safety components such as reach-through protection or hinge covers.
Security Fence Of Different Heights
It's all about the height! Our security fences are usually a set of Industrial fence posts and heavy double wire mesh (8/6/8) at a fence height of 2 meters. If you decide on a fence system with extended posts holding barbed wire, 3 rows of barbed wire add another 50 cm to the overall height. Angled extension arms or V-shaped double extension arms also increase the height of approx. 30 mm. If you consider adding an intrusion detection system to your fence, the fence system needs to have a minimum height of about 1.80 meters. This will prevent intruders from overcoming a low fence without having to touch it.
