The VibraTek sensor is a highly sensitive microphone cable that converts noise in the monitored construction into electrical signals. The sensor cable can also be easily and effortlessly added to existing gate and fence constructions. For new installations, we recommend the PeriNet triple wire mesh, which has been specially developed to accommodate VibraTek sensor cables. This protects the sensor cable from sabotage and vandalism and guarantees maximum detection security.

The PeriNet linear sensor works according to the induction -principle. Flexible ceramic magnetic profiles generate a static magnetic field in the core of the sensor cable. Two precision conductors (blue) can oscillate freely within the generated magnetic field, inducing a voltage in the conductors. Thus the functionality corresponds to that of an active, linear induction generator.
When breaking through (cutting, burning, sawing) or climbing over a perimeter protection construction, sound waves are generated which propagate within the construction to be monitored (structure-borne sound). These are detected by the sensor cable and converted into electrical signals.
The induced signals represent an unaltered image of their causal mechanical oscillation. The electrical signals are analysed by the detection algorithm of the PeriNet analyser modules, natural environmental influences (e.g. wind, rain, hail) are filtered and intrusion attempts are reliably reported.
Weak points in the security concept often occur in the perimeter access area. With the VibraTek linear sensor, object accesses, such as swing gates, can be easily integrated into the detection length. Even in the case of sliding gates, attempts to climb over can be reliably detected with a photoelectric barrier combination.
Some open-air areas do not require a perimeter protection structure to be continuously detected. Depending on the requirements, e.g. a building facade can already offer sufficient protection or a road or trench divides the external protection. The PeriNet linear sensor therefore offers the possibility of bridging such areas not to be detected with passive cable in order to resume the detection length afterwards.
Swing gates can be easily and safely integrated into the monitoring section with a GateKit. For this purpose, a sensor cable loop is mounted on the gate wing, which is connected to the monitoring section via a spiral cable. The area under the swing gate is bridged with passive cable in order to continue the monitoring afterwards.
Double leaf swing gates require two GateKits. A separate VibraTek sensor cable loop is mounted on each gate leaf.
Frequently, selected intermediate sections (e.g. building facades, underpasses, ditches, etc.) are to be excluded from the detection length. With the PeriNet linear sensor, such areas can be bridged flexibly with passive cable in order to continue the detection length afterwards.
